One of my early complaints about hiking and exploring the wide outdoors was how difficult it is to capture animals in the perfect place, light and focus. Even getting a long lens for wildlife has its challenges. So I learned to create digital art in Photoshop. Sounds easy, but oh my it was quite a learning curve. As in drawing more than stick figures, one needs to understand reflected light and shadows in a deeper way than most. For example, I once thought all shadows were just grey or light black...ouch. Anyway, I took artistic license with this piece and added a faint artist canvas texture and a lone eagle flying over the arch. Hope you enjoy the moment as I saw it in my imagination.
This image is Susan's digital magic applied to this magical scene. The eagle and texture were added in Photoshop to add life and a painterly feel to this version of Broken Arch.
